Contracting Advantages

5-Step Direct Award Process

Federal customers can issue a sole source contract to ETSJV by following these simple steps:

  1. 1 Send an 8(a) Offering Letter to SBA per the instructions in our template (download our template here)
  2. 2 Wait to receive the SBA's Letter of Approval (approximately 3 days)
  3. 3 Send Request for Proposal to ETSJV
  4. 3 ETSJV submits proposal
  5. 3 Award contract to ETSJV

Additional Advantages

  • Awards to ETSJV cannot be protested. Sole source awards to ETSJV cannot be protested per 13 CFR 124.517(a).
  • $100M DoD 8(a) sole source. ETSJV may receive DoD sole source awards up to $100M without a J&A per 13 CFR 124.506(b)(5).
  • $25M Federal Civilian 8(a) sole source. ETSJV may receive Federal Civilian sole source awards up to $25M without a J&A.
  • No procurement competition. There is no requirement to compete procurements to ETSJV before a sole source award per 13 CFR 124.506(b)(3).
  • Alpha Contracting. Government and ETSJV can work jointly to develop the statement of work, to reduce procurement time, and negotiate all aspects of the requirement to provide a better solution to the Government prior to award.
