On April 6, Tsymmetry had the pleasure of attending the GW Women in Business Spring Conference and Career Fair and was able to connect with dozens of excited candidates about the Firm’s opportunities and culture.
The team that attended consisted of high-performing women from across the Firm. Alison O’Mara, Chief Operating Officer and GW alumna, spoke with the students about Tsymmetry’s mission and vision, company growth, and her personal career path from GW to today. Malaine Thorpe, the Executive Assistant to the COO was able to discuss the firm’s new High Performing Women’s Initiative (HPWI) and invite several interested students to the upcoming kick-off event.
Jackie Ducharme, Help Desk Team Lead, talked to the students about her marked career growth within the company and how she was able to advance into a Team Lead in just a few years. Mhia Veliz, Talent Acquisition Specialist, was able to discuss the open opportunities within the Firm, the firm’s competitive Total Rewards package, and passed out sample resumes to students who were looking to update their own.
The team received lots of positive feedback from both the GW students they spoke with and the Conference Co-Chairs, who thanked Tsymmetry for “engaging in meaningful conversations and providing amazing insights and inspiration for attendees.” Tsymmetry is looking forward to attending next year’s conference, as well as several other career fairs before the end of 2019.
